Laura Lee graduated from Oxford High School in 1982.  She continued to play volleyball and went to a tournament in Chicago as part of a 4-person team.  To the delight of all, but no surprise, Laura Lee and her teammates won the championship.

Laura Lee, a lifelong resident of Oxford, owned her own hair salon behind Patterson’s Pharmacy for 23 years.  She and Charlie also hosted karaoke nights at the Oxford American Legion for many years.  Laura Lee released a CD of songs “Finally” which can be listened to on YouTube (Google Laura Lee Styles) as well as a YouTube video of her songs “Proud but Afraid” (Google Laura Lee Styles Proud but Afraid).

Laura Lee shone a light upon the world and was a friend to all.  Her laughter was infectious and her beautiful voice filled our hearts.  We will miss her more than words can say.

There is a memorial planned at the Oxford American Legion on August 28, 2021 @1:00pm.
